The younger brother of Nick
Cleek, Jake made his HSFL debut in the 2001 season. Jake burst on to the scene
with a tremendous display of talent and athleticism. He suffered a hand injury and was forced to miss some time.
Jake missed the remainder of the 2001 season and it appeared that his days of playing in the HSFL were numbered. The
HSFL Executive Board elected to give Jake another chance in 2002, but despite his potential, he never became the player that some had hoped. Expected to see his fair share of
varsity playing time at Hobart in 2003, Cleek's HSFL career is on hold, if not finished.
